A sister of the 1906 12M Javotte has been built in St Kitts

Here is a new/old 12 Metre being inched down the hill from the yard where she was built in St Kitts by Philip Walwyn. It’s a big change of direction for Philip, who is perhaps better known for his series of racing catamarans which he entered in various transatlantic and Round Britain races.

She has been built to a Mylne design to celebrate the 12M rule that was formulated in 1906 and is sister ship to Javotte, built that year. A fascinating project and we intend to have a full report on her in a forthcoming issue of Yachting World. For more information see www.1906-twelvemetre.com
