British America's Cup Team Origin announced that from 1 May 2008 they would reduce their retained team to a smaller core group. This group will comprise some of the management team, key design and sailing team members, a limited commercial/marketing team and essential support functions.
Team members are now able to pursue other projects with the knowledge that they will be brought back into Team Origin once the next multi-challenger America's Cup programme is properly defined.
